Daion Zoom Integration – User Documentation

 


 

1. Adding the App (Installation Guide)

Follow this step-by-step guide to connect your Zoom account with Daion.

Step 1 – Open the Daion Platform

Visit the Daion platform:
https://daion-academy.com

You need a Daion user account to authorize the Zoom integration.

Step 2 – Navigate to the Zoom Integration

Inside your Daion dashboard, go to:
Settings → Integrations → Zoom

Click "Connect with Zoom".

Step 3 – Log in to Zoom

You will be redirected to the official Zoom login page at zoom.us.
Enter your Zoom credentials.

Step 4 – Review and Approve Permissions

Zoom will request authorization for the following scopes:

  • View your Zoom user information

  • View meetings

  • View meeting participants

  • Optional: process meeting webhook events

Confirm by clicking "Allow".

Step 5 – Successful Installation

After successful authorization, you will be redirected back to Daion.
Your Zoom account is now connected.

 


 

Troubleshooting

The authorization page does not appear

  • Clear browser cookies

  • Try incognito mode

  • Disable browser extensions

  • Make sure your Zoom account is active

"Invalid redirect URL" error
Start the installation from inside Daion, not directly via Zoom.

OAuth popup closes immediately

  • Allow pop-ups

  • Refresh the page

  • Try a different browser

2.1 Overview of Available Features

After connecting Zoom, Daion provides the following features:

  • View your Zoom meetings inside Daion

  • Import Zoom meetings into workshops

  • Create workshops with an automatically attached Zoom meeting link

  • View meeting participants after the session

  • Automatic workshop updates using optional webhooks

Feature 1: View your Zoom Meetings

Use Case
Browse your upcoming or past Zoom meetings directly inside Daion.

Prerequisites

  • Zoom account connected

  • At least one meeting created in Zoom

Instructions

  1. Open the Daion dashboard

  2. Navigate to Workshops → Import from Zoom

  3. Click "Load Zoom Meetings"

  4. Meetings will appear with meeting ID, topic, and timing

Expected Result
Your list of Zoom meetings is displayed inside Daion.

 


 

Feature 2: Automatically Attach Zoom Meeting Link When Creating a Workshop

Use Case
Create a new workshop in Daion and automatically attach a Zoom meeting link.

Prerequisites

  • Zoom integration must be connected

  • User must have permission to create Zoom meetings (depending on your Zoom plan)

Instructions

  1. Navigate to Workshops → Create Workshop

  2. Fill in title, date, and content

  3. Enable the option "Create Zoom Meeting" (if shown)

  4. Save the workshop

What happens automatically

  • Daion calls the Zoom API

  • A Zoom meeting is created

  • The meeting link is automatically stored inside the workshop

  • Users can access the link without additional steps

Expected Result
A newly created workshop contains a Zoom meeting link in the workshop details section.

 


 

Feature 3: Import Zoom Meetings into Existing Workshops

Use Case
Attach an already existing Zoom meeting to a workshop.

Prerequisites

  • At least one Zoom meeting

  • Zoom integration connected

Instructions

  1. Open an existing workshop

  2. Click "Attach Zoom Meeting"

  3. Select a meeting

  4. Save

Expected Result
The selected meeting link and meeting ID are now linked to the workshop.

 


 

Feature 4: View Meeting Participants

Use Case
Review who attended your Zoom sessions.

Prerequisites

  • Meeting must be linked to a workshop

  • Meeting must have ended

  • Zoom plan must allow report access (Zoom requirement)

Instructions

  1. Open the workshop

  2. Go to the "Participants" section

  3. Click "Sync from Zoom"

Expected Result
Participant names, join and leave times, and durations become visible.

 


 

Feature 5: Automatic Status Updates (Optional Webhooks)

Use Case
Automatically update workshop status when a Zoom meeting starts or ends.

Prerequisites

  • Webhooks enabled inside Daion

  • Zoom integration connected

Instructions
This feature works automatically. No user interaction required.

Expected Result
Workshop status updates when the meeting begins and ends.

 


 

3. Removing the App

Users may remove the Zoom integration at any time.

Step-by-Step Removal Guide

  1. Log into your Zoom account:
    https://zoom.us/profile

  2. Open the left menu and select "Apps & Marketplace"

  3. Select "Manage"

  4. Open "Installed Apps"

  5. Find "Daion Zoom Integration"

  6. Click "Remove"

  7. Confirm removal

 


 

Data Handling After Removal

When the app is removed:

Immediately deleted

  • Zoom access tokens

  • Refresh tokens

  • Linked meeting IDs

  • Stored Zoom participant sync data

  • Webhook subscriptions

Not deleted

  • User account data unrelated to Zoom

  • Workshop content

  • Non-Zoom course materials

Functional Implications

  • Meeting sync stops

  • Participant sync stops

  • Workshop automation stops

  • Webhooks stop working

 


 

4. Troubleshooting

Meetings do not appear

  • Refresh the meeting list

  • Ensure the meeting is created in the same Zoom account used for authorization

Participants are missing

  • Reports API requires a Zoom Pro plan or higher

  • Meeting must be ended

  • Try clicking "Reload participants"

Meeting link missing after workshop creation

  • Ensure Zoom integration is active

  • Ensure you have permission to create meetings

  • Verify the Zoom API was not rate-limited

 


 

5. FAQ

Can I use Daion with a free Zoom account?
Yes, but participant reports require a paid Zoom plan.

Does Daion store my Zoom password?
No. Authentication is handled fully by Zoom.

Can multiple users use the same Zoom integration?
No, one Daion user can connect one Zoom account.

My meetings do not show up. What should I check?
Make sure you logged into Zoom with the same email during authorization.
